I am truly grateful for having been referred to Amanda, who made our virtual sessions easy and comfortable. I didn't feel like I was talking to a stranger. I contacted Amanda after the trauma from my childhood was interfering with my day to day life and relationships - I wanted to better understand and be able to cope with my emotions so I could form deeper connections with people. I had tried counselling before but never returned after the first session as I never felt comfortable enough to. I have been seeing Amanda weekly for a few months now, and I feel I have grown a lot in my emotional maturity over this time. Amanda has been instrumental for me in my journey to quit drinking. I went to see Amanda because I knew I had a problem that was affecting my life and family, but I didn’t think it was possible to quit, and deep-down I think I didn’t want to quit. So, I looked for help, someone to talk to at the very least. Amanda was very understanding, I immediately felt at ease and I could open up about things I kept close and hidden. I have been to counselling before following a traumatic event in my life, however felt like my personal trauma was being dismissed by that counsellor.
